The Medical School Scholarship Fund

The Medical Scholarship Fund proposal aims to support the inaugural class of the Amir School of Medicine, addressing critical challenges in Israel’s healthcare system.

With only 3.3 practicing physicians per 100,000 population, below the OECD average, Israel faces a severe doctor shortage exacerbated by an aging medical workforce and unique demographic pressures.

The new medical school, set to open its doors in October 2025, will focus on cultivating homegrown talent to alleviate this shortage and meet the nation’s growing healthcare needs.
