Strengthening the Orthodox Student Community on Campus

The University’s leadership sees an important value in having the student body truly reflect the full spectrum of Israeli society. Today, the number of dati students enrolling in our various academic programs does not adequately mirror the percentage of Orthodox Jews in Israeli society. As a result, a unique perspective and religious element is missing from our laboratories, classrooms and public events.

To address these issues, the University is launching a comprehensive plan to improve recruitment and retention of dati students across our academic and research programs. The plan seeks to meet the learning, cultural, dietary and financial needs of dati students and create an atmosphere that will attract the ‘best and brightest’ dati students to northern Israel.
