Translational Nursing Research Complex

Home to Israel’s only doctoral studies nursing program, the University of Haifa’s Cheryl Spencer Department of Nursing is uniquely positioned to advance student-centered and evidence-based teaching and learning through innovative curricula, cutting-edge teaching methods and community involvement. The new Translational Nursing Research Complex will combine four innovative laboratories whose research will ultimately improve patient health care and set new standards for evidence-based nursing practices.

– The Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Sleep and Chronobiology to advance the field of sleep research and ultimately improve population health and patient care.

– The Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Mobility Research to gain a comprehensive understanding of mobility and the underlying causes of impaired mobility.

– The Computerized Nursing and Health Sciences Simulation Laboratory to lead and advance innovative research using high-tech simulation and virtual reality technologies. The technologies will be used to train students and health personnel, as well as help patients and family members to optimally manage their disease.
– The Big Data Nursing Laboratory will provide recommendations for big data competencies for practicing nurses, nurse educators, researchers, and policy makers to help prepare the next generation of nurses and improve patient outcomes trough better quality connected health.
