The University of Haifa is seeking $1 million to establish the Finance and Behavioral Economics Research Center (FiBER). The only such center of its kind in Israel, FiBER will study how behavioral biases and psychological effects influence a broad range of economic and financial decisions. What makes the new Center unique is its broad academic agenda that encompasses the investment decision‐making process, trade issues, financial regulations, portfolio management and long-term saving, coupled with strong links to key policy makers, investment firms and financial advisors.
